LaChanda is a renowned film and editorial hair and makeup artist with a unique flair for creating astounding transformations.
Her individualized style has been displayed throughout the world—presenting her with three International Bangstlye’s Supreme Hairstylist awards, including Most Creative Stylist of Orange County Fashion Week. This talent has granted her lead hair-designer and department head over a plethora of projects.
Her opulent hair designs moved beyond the runway to the big screen. On the set, she has the ability to educate her team, and—at times, celebrities—the importance of nurturing and maintaining healthy hair. As a hairstylist, she has worked for and with several salons throughout the years including Paul Mitchell Concept Salons. later educating with Design Essentials Salon System. She is currently conducting remote teaching to several of her celebrity clientele and major corporations, such as Target & Disney.
Amongst the above-mentioned accolades, she is constantly looking for new ways to expand her design vision. Her greatest desire is to present more positive images for black girls, granting them the courage to expand confidence and self-love. Her latest passion is reflected in her project which focuses on re-imagining classic princess characters as African- American fantasies.
